The weather today...

All day long it felt like Fall. I took Jack for a walk for the first time in over a week since the heat has been so bad. He actually wore clothes today and the inflated weeble (me of course) lumbered along happily.
My morning coffee turned tea lately...

I love this time of the morning before you know if you're going to have a stinky day or not.
Natural cleaning products...

We've been looking for a place to buy good stuff since we arrived. Strangely, my teeth led us to them. When I went to my German OB this week I showed her my teeth and asked if it might be pregnancy related. She stepped back with a look of horror on her face and said in her deep, German accent, "No, and please go to the dentist. They were good before." They, meaning my teeth, which had become discolored with transparent looking patches. Then she insisted I go see her dentist who was right around the corner from her office. I declined but she said I only have one pair of teeth and wanted to know right away what was wrong with mine. When I went to see her dentist it took five minutes and for no charge they told me it was the high amount of iron I had been taking. They polished one tooth and it came right off. So after that we walked around the area and discovered some nice shops. One had great natural products like Alma Win and Haba toys too.
Itty bitty baby ribs...

He has the most perfect little body.
You can get it here. I think Jack would love to have a painting like this in his room and want to commission Kelly to do a similar one with things he likes in it.
The photo in my husband's latest post...

He has an eye for taking pictures like this.
Amber's new bags...

You can get them here. She makes all sorts of lovely things.
The new comfy chair...

I've been enjoying the new chair this past week and we're getting ready to buy a couch. Yay! If you don't understand what I'm talking about refer to section of this post titled Master Bedroom, Etc.
The window is finally fixed...

We reported to our landlords almost a month ago that the line to the metal blinds on the largest window in our room broke. We were stuck waiting for them to fix it with only the tiny, prison-size window during some of the hottest weeks Germany has had in a long time. Today they miraculously showed up to remedy the problem after canceling on us numerous times. Now there is so much more light and air in the room. Jack is in heaven because he can watch the children play from his perch once again.
Snuggles...

I have a cuddly boy.

Posted by: G'ma at August 2, 2006 6:11 AMOoh, we got that chair at Ikea in ATL before we moved here to Boise. I got the dark brown leather cover, but we've yet to get the footstool cover. It's a great nursing chair. Enjoy!
Posted by: lynnp at August 3, 2006 11:01 AMWow, i've never commented on here before, but I have to keep coming back to see more of the pictures you take, you don't know how desperately I wish I had the gift. and I absolutely love that house, it's so bright and clean and awesome... And you are a beautiful family... you have a beautiful look I can't even describe, your son reminds me of my little nephew, so plump and small and perfect, love em. but not to sound too silly... I hope everything works out well for you, and that you aren't too lonely. How many people there speak english? Do you speak German? I've always wondered about living overseas, But anyway, best wishes
